William “Bill” Page, 51, of Benton, died 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at his home. He worked as a laborer on the railroad. He was born June 29, 1963, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Maurice Fisher and Betty Jo (Wheeler) Page. Bill loved to hunt, fish, garden and be outdoors and attended Potter’s Way Church in Frisco. Surviving are his wife Glenda; three step-sons, Robbie Cockrum and fiancee’ Brittany of Knoxville, Tenn., Joe Dale Jackson and wife Brittany of McLeansboro and Tony Jackson and wife Marissa of Benton; one step-daughter, Dianna Jackson and husband Cliff of Marion; one sister, Marcia Bond of Dahlgren; four brothers, Jimmy Joe Steele and wife Donna, Dean Cocke and wife Jeannine, and Bruce Page and wife Leann all of McLeansboro, and Charlie Page and wife Lou of Mt. Vernon; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a sister-in-law, Rita Steele. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Benny Steele. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. At his request, his remains will be cremated and a private family burial of ashes will be conducted at a later date. A memorial visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 16, until the time of service at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro was in charge of all the arrangements.
