David Leslie “Les” “Bones” Wilson Jr., 41, of McLeansboro, died 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. He was born Jan. 9, 1974, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro, the son of David L. Wilson Sr. and Martha Arlene (Peters) Wilson. He is survived by one daughter, Victoria Justyce Wilson of Oakland; a father, David Leslie Wilson Sr. and stepmother, Minnie Morales Wilson, both of McLeansboro; one brother, Samuel Wilson and companion Olivia Soltanipanah of McLeansboro; a maternal grandmother, Norma Jean Peters of Flora; a paternal grandmother, Eunice Ione Terry of McLeansboro; a paternal grandfather, Willard Dale Wilson of Eldorado; and one nephew, Ethynn Maddux Wilson of McLeansboro. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Arlene Wilson; one maternal grandfather, Charles “Dink” Peters; and one brother, Jonathan Perry Wilson. He was employed by Allen Trucking of McLeansboro as an over the road truck driver. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Reverend Jacob Gray officiating. The visitation was held 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Harre Funeral Home. Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery at 3 p.m. in Flora. Memorials have been requested to be made to the college fund of David’s daughter, Victoria. Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of all of the arrangements.
