Hazel Marie Lenard, 88, of McLeansboro, died 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in her home in McLeansboro. She was born Oct. 28, 1926, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Charles Edward and Susie Novella (Earnest) Teague. She married Charles Lee Lenard Sr.; he preceded her in death. She is survived by five sons, Charles “Boots” Lenard and wife Elma of Akin, Bill Lenard and wife Yvonne of Ruidoso, N.M., Tommy and Sissie Bill Lenard of Mt. Vernon, Richard Lenard of Longview, Texas, and Robert Lenard and wife Katie of McLeansboro; five daughters, Linda Travis and husband John of McLeansboro, Anne Sneed of Tatum, Texas, Debbie Hanson and husband Rosco of Texarkana, Ark., Hazel “Sissie” Lenard of Queen City, Texas, and Shelly Lenard and fiance Bill Ingram of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Borbert “Bobby” Teague of Longview, Texas; 26 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Turning Point Church of God in McLeansboro. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4, at Turning Point Church of God in McLeansboro with the Rev. Leo Hall officiating. The visitation was held 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Turning Point Church of God. Burial was at Smith Cemetery near Dale. Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of the arrangements.
