Joyce Moore, 92, of McLeansboro, passed away 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
Visitation was held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Funeral was 1 p.m. Saturday at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Ken Cook and the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro.
She was born March 30, 1925, in Rinard, the daughter of Roy Kessel and Mayme (McGrew) Kessel. She married John F. Moore on Jan. 17, 1943 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 2002.
She was a homemaker and worked as a janitor for the First United Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. Joyce took care of children for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Terri Dennis and husband Barry of Carmi and Rebecca Hoover and husband Phil of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, Phillip Hoover and wife Cindy of Pittsfield, Lori Hatton and husband Mark of Pittsfield and Sarah Stubblefield of McLeansboro; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nathaniel, Dalton and Allie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John; three brothers and four sisters.
Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of all arrangements.
