Lena Mae Lillick, 87, of Mt. Vernon, passed away 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at her home in Mt. Vernon. Lena was born Sept. 14, 1928, in Aden, the daughter of Robert and Rella (Maulding) Musgrave. She married Bernie Lillick on Feb. 19, 1972, in Mt. Vernon; he survives in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Lillick was of the Baptist faith. She had worked at the Mammoth Department Store and later for Shirley’s Ladies Apparel. Lena is survived by her husband, Bernie Lillick of Mt. Vernon; three children, Tonya Jones and husband Kerry of Mt. Vernon, Mark Metheney and wife Pam of Mt. Vernon and Angela Jack and husband Greg of Marion; two sisters, Gladys Shreve and husband Ruben of Fairfield and Wanda Fay Gardner of Evansville; two brothers, Stanley Musgrave of Evansville and Robert “Bob” Musgrave and wife Linda of Owensboro, Ky.; two grandchildren, Justin Jones and wife Yvonne of Nashville and Chase Jones and wife Jill of Mehlville, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Avery Jones and Carson Flanagan; stepdaughter-in-law, Debbie Lillick of Kirkwood, Mo.; and also stepgrandchildren, Megan and Evan Lillick. She was preceded in death by her parents; nine brothers and sisters; and stepson, Dana Lillick. Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 2, at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodlawn with Brother Merle Fullerton officiating.
