Louise Satterfield, 85, of McLeansboro, died on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
She was born on March 5, 1932, the daughter of Dalton Williams and Grace (Hargrave) Williams. She married Edgar Satterfield on Feb. 1, 1952, in McLeansboro. He passed away April 3, 2017.
Louise was an Appellate Court Secretary. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McLeansboro.
She loved painting Creek Bank Santas, needlework, and Hardanger, as well as making and sending cards to family and friends.
She is survived by one daughter, Lea Ann Sager and husband Jim of Salem; one daughter-in-law, Eileen Satterfield of Benton; one granddaughter, Morgan Hanke and husband Jonathan of Marion; five grandsons, Landon Satterfield and fiancé Sally of Boaz, Ky., Mason Satterfield of Parma, Mich., James Sager and wife Amber of Salem, Donny Sager and wife Brooke of Clarksville, Tenn., and Kevin Sager and wife Rickell of Salem; one brother-in-law, Eugene Satterfield and wife Teresa of Nashville, Tenn.; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Maren Hanke, Blaire, Edison, Dawson and Reid Sager.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edgar; son, Stephen; brothers, Frank Loumis and Bob Williams; and sisters, Mary Brown and Ruth Deen.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with the Rev. Jim Peak and the Rev. Bill Reed officiating. Burial is at Oddfellows Cemetery in McLeansboro.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Harre Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeansboro Kiwanis Club or The First United Methodist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
