Marilyn Karcher Davis, 78, of Dahlgren, passed away 5:21 a.m. March 18, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, at Harre Funeral Home, Dahlgren. A rosary service was held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Dahlgren, with Father Slawomir Ptak officiating. Burial was at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Dahlgren.
She was born Jan. 28, 1939, in Dahlgren, the daughter of Frank Karcher and Evelyn (Stitch) Karcher. She married Ronald Davis on Nov. 28, 1957, at St. John's Catholic Church; he preceded her in death.
She was a cook at the Dahlgren Grade School and a member of St. John's Nepomucene Catholic Church, Dahlgren. She played pinochole and bingo and she collected Red Bird/Cardinal statues.
She is survived by one son, Dan Davis of Dahlgren; two daughters, Ann Eaton and husband Cliff and Janet Birkner; five grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Whitney Williams and husband Shawn, Nathan Birkner and wife Amanda, Amiee Laswell and Kristen Rodgers and husband Daniel; six great-grandchildren, Maddie, Bryleigh and Kayden Birkner, Kale and Matthew Laswell and Caroline Rodgers; and one brother, Kenneth Karcher and wife Ruthie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; son, Gary; and brothers, Donald and Frank Karcher.
Harre Funeral Home, Dahlgren, is in charge of arrangements.
