Marilyn Nation, 74, of McLeansboro, died 4 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.
Visitation was held at noon on Sunday, July 3, at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro. The funeral was at 1 p.m. Sunday at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro. The clergy was the Rev. Robert Sefried and burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, McLeansboro.
Mrs. Nation was born Jan. 30, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of John Leslie and Arelena (Gibbs) Leslie. She was a hairdresser. She was married to James Franklin Ingram in October 1958. He passed away in 2008. She married Dane Herrick Nation on Dec. 10, 2007, and he passed away May 10, 2014.
She attended Hopewell Baptist Church. She enjoyed walking in yard, working crossword puzzles and she loved to do hairdressing.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Maureen Douthett and husband Jeffery, McLeansboro; two step sons, Mike Nation, McLeansboro and Mark Nation, Harrisonburg, Va.; two grandsons, Christopher Lowery, McLeansboro and David Douthett and partner Stephanie, McLeansboro; three granddaughters, Wendy Lowery, McLeansboro, April Deer and husband Doug, Benton and Felicia Douthett and partner Nathan Johnson, McLeansboro; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands James Franklin Ingram and Dane Herrick Nation.
Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, is in charge of arrangements.
