Mary Bullock, 82, passed away 2:02 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Wayne City, the daughter of Owen and Osie (Simpson) Thomason. She married Olan Eugene Bullock on March 24, 1950, in Oceola, Ark.; he passed away on Aug. 29, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Michael Bullock of Dahlgren and Sharon Casten and husband Kenny of Dahlgren; three sons, Randy Bullock and wife Latisa of Dahlgren, Terry Bullock and wife Diana of Dahlgren and Jeffrey Bullock and wife Sandra of Dahlgren; a brother, Robert Kennedy of St. Louis; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe Thomason; grandsons, Robbie Rogers and Jonathan Imlay; and a great-granddaughter, Hattie Jean Grey.
She was a civil service employee and worked for the federal government, Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Wash., the draft board of Wayne County, the ASCS office, the Office of Mines and Minerals, the Social Security office, Western Union and as a teacher's aide at Wayne City High School. She was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church near Wayne City. Janell loved to paint, gardening, working in the yard and loved animals.
Services were held at noon on Wednesday at Olive Branch Church with the Rev. Andy May officiating. Burial was at Olive Branch Cemetery (Baltimore) in Wayne City.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, is in charge of arrangements.
