Mary Elizabeth Foley, 86, of McLeansboro, died 12:28 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center in McLeansboro. She was born July 24, 1929, in McLeansboro, the daughter of Lawrence Tolley and Cartha (Sutton) Tolley. She married Roy Foley on July 13, 1953, in Enfield; he survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Royla Howe and husband H. Michael of McLeansboro, a granddaughter, Amanda Owen and husband Lucas of McLeansboro; and two great-granddaughters, Lily and Savannah Owen. Mrs. Foley was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker. She attended Turning Point Church of God. She loved gardening and flowers. Private family graveside services were held 1 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016, at IOOF Cemetery, McLeansboro with the Rev. Leo Hall officiating. Memorials may be given to Hamilton Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center and will be accepted at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro. Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, is in charge of all arrangements.
