Sherry Ann Clark, 61, of Broughton, died 10:28 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born Sept. 9, 1954, in Waukegan, the daughter of Norman Gerdes and Margaret (Austin) Gerdes. She married Roy L. Clark on Oct. 29, 1976, in Norris City; he survives in Broughton. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Kevin Clark and wife Sarah of Dale; one daughter, Krissy Braden and husband Shannon of McLeansboro; five grandchildren, Klayton and Karter Clark and Shawn, Owen and Austyn Braden; a mother, Alice Gerdes of Henderson, Ky.; one sister, Mary Dunham and husband John of Henderson, Ky.; and four brothers, Bill Edmonds and wife Naomi and Bob Edmonds of Fresno, Calif., Milt Johnson of Clemfalls, Wis. and Dale Johnson of Two Harbors, Minn. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Larry Gerdes. She was a homemaker. She was of the Mormon faith. She loved animals, outdoor activities and playing Farmville on Facebook. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Reverend Robert Sefried officiating. The visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Harre Funeral Home. Burial will be at Prospect Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House and will be accepted at Harre Funeral Home. Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of all of the arrangements.
