Thelma J. Terry, 73, of McLeansboro resident, died at 8:05 p.m on Monday, June 30 at her home. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Terry was born October 14, 1940 in McLeansboro the daughter of Cecil Howard and Imogene R. (Hungate) Browning. She married Jack Terry on December, 26, 1957. She attended Christian Chapel Church and loved flowers and crafting. Survivors include her husband, Jack Terry of McLeansboro; a daughter, Theresa Barker (Larry) of Dardene Prairie, Mo; a son, Toby Terry of McLeansboro; grandchildren, Derek and Amanda Barker, Ashley Jones and husband Shawn and Brian Terry; a great-grandchild, Finley Lawrence Jones; a sister, Carol Zelenik of West Mont, IL and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Thelma J. Terry were held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 3 at the Christian Chapel Church in McLeansboro with Sister Ruby McDowell and Pastor Adam Spangler officiating. A private family burial of ashes will be at a later date. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children; Tony and Tina Louise and a sister Dorothy Simmons. The Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of all the arrangements.
