William Thompson Maulding, 94, of McLeansboro, passed away 2:47 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
Visitation was held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Funeral service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at Harre Funeral Home with Father George Mauck officiating. Burial was held at St. Clement's Catholic Cemetery in McLeansboro.
He was born Dec. 9, 1922, in McLeansboro, the son of Earl A. Maulding and Louina (Thompson) Maulding. He married Ann Elizabeth (Ryan) on Nov. 28, 1953, at St. Clement's Catholic Church in McLeansboro. She passed away May 21, 1987. He married Josephine (Essary) on June 14, 1997, in McLeansboro and she passed away April 18, 2010.
He was a farmer and was self employed. Loved dancing and thoroughbreds and cattle. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1882 and Eagles Lodge 2699, McLeansboro.
He is survived by son, William T. "Tom" Maulding Jr, of McLeansboro; granddaughters, Leslie Danage and husband Trae of Peoria and Lynn Braden and husband Curt of McLeansboro; grandson, Wade Maulding and wife Jennifer of McLeansboro; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe Braden, Amira, Kahlel and Britton Danage, and Hayden and Lane Maulding; and sister, Mary (Maulding) York (husband Bob) of McLeansboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ann and his wife Josephine.
Memorials may be made to St. Clement's Catholic Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at Harre Funeral Home.
