Wilma F. Harrison, 98, of Dahlgren, died 2:51 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born March 11, 1917, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Clarence and Carrie Higginson Harrison. She is survived by sister, Pauline Kennedy of Dahlgren; six nieces and nephews, Debbie Chavez and husband Al, David Faught and wife Toni, Daryl Kennedy and wife Brenda, Donald Kennedy and friend Kay Lowery, Jay Kennedy and friend Pennie Anselment and Leesa White and husband Jerry; niece-in-law, Ruth Ann Faught; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Juanita Hunter, Monda Harrison and Rosemary Faught; one nephew, Donnie Faught; and a dear friend for over 50 years, Eugene Waugh. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at First United Methodist Church in Dahlgren. The Rev. Gary Whipple officiated. Interment was be at IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro. Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 18, at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. She worked as a store clerk for area groceries for over 70 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dahlgren. For those who wish, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home. Gholson Funeral Home of Dahlgren is in charge of arrangements.
